A: The silicon tubing connected is better replaced than cleaned. You can buy replacement whips on our website. To clean the glass handpiece and mouth piece, remove the silicon tubing by placing in just boiled water. If it doesn't work use a razor blade and make a small slit in the tube. Remove and cut off to make a nice clean end. Place glass in a ziplock bag and cover with rubbing alcohol (Isocol /brand name/ available at supermarkets or Chemists) and pour in some salt. Then just zip and shake vigorously for a few minutes and rinse under warm water. Repeat this operation until completely clean.
Q7: How do I replace a screen on Herbal Vaporizers?
A: The key is to come from both ends; you need to remove the tubing. Then use the two wooden sticks provided or something similar from the top. Drop in the screen and slide one side down (at about a 45 degree angle, with corners folded towards the top) until it slots into the grove. Hold this side in place from underneath with a stick and slide the other side slowly down into the grove; it should just click into place. USING YOUR HERBAL VAPORIZER
Step One:.Grind your herbal mix; the free grinder included with all our Vaporizers will grind herbs to a perfect consistency for vaporizers. Make sure not to grind it to powder; this will fall through the screen. Grind to an even consistency without any clumps.
Step Two:.Plug in the VapoRite Herbal Vaporizer and turn the knob right to select temperature; the orange light will go out when this is reached; the VapoRite Wood Box Vaporizer reads in degrees Fahrenheit.
Step Three:.Load your hand-piece (also called whip). This is the glass piece with the plastic tube and mouthpiece attached. The vaporizer mouthpiece is the smaller of the two ends. The whip has a screen an inch or two from the end. Take some of the ground mixture and spread over the screen, and then lightly tamp; use rubber on the end of a pencil or similar. Place a small gold screen provided on top to ensure the mix adheres to the screen. We suggest using a small amount for even vaporization. Once loaded you are ready to use your VapoRite Herbal Vaporizer.
Step Four:.Heat your Herbal Vaporizer to the required temperature, it should be hot enough to use within 5 minutes. Place the hand-piece on the end of the heating element, making sure there is a tight fit, and then inhale immediately. Don't leave whip on the Vaporizer any longer than required. We recommend heating for only 20 minutes at any one session.
Step Five:.The most important thing is that you can draw air over the element of the vaporizers; this heated air in turn heats the herbs as it's passing over them, just to the temperature of vaporization. The reading will vary with your chosen herbs. The vapour produced is sucked down the tube as you inhale.
Step Six: .Getting the right draw is an art in itself, and everyone needs to find their own method. Some turn their Vaporizer down slightly, and then take their draw. Others choose to leave the vaporizer turned up, and take a very fast and long draw. We recommend you turn the Herbal Vaporizer off between sessions.
Step Seven: .Varying draw speed is the real key to vaporizing. We suggest you experiment with a few different temperature settings and draw speeds; you will soon find the one that works the best for you.
Step Eight:.Don't allow residue to build-up inside the unit. Simply unplug the Vaporizer and lightly shake it upside down until all the material clears from inside.
** In order to insure a long and happy lifespan for your VapoRite, DO NOT leave your vaporizer on for long periods - use the vaporizer for a maximum 20 minutes per session, then turn it off and let it completely cool.
